Default Potential Audi Buyer

Hello-

I am looking to buy a 2001 Audi A8L with 88000 miles. The seller is looking for 12,500 for it, which I feel is excessive. I was wondering does anyone have experience with this car and if so, what do you think about repair costs and upkeep for it.

Willkommen to the forums!

You can find answers to all your questions, and more, by digging around in the A8 section. Much more information there than I can possibly type out. I can summarize it for you though, 4.2 is a rock solid engine that, if cared for properly, will last an awful long time. 4.2 engine can be a real PITA to work on. If you can't/won't DIY, be prepared to pay for the excessive labor hours that it will take to do the work.

as far as value, the car is worth exactly how much someone is willing to pay for it. $12.5K seems high to me, especially for an '01, regardless of how many miles are on it.

good luck
