Default Strange No Start Question

I have a 2007 Audi A6 (C6 chassis). I am mechanically inclined and was actually a competent professional mechanic in the past. I only mention this because I experienced an issue in the last couple of days that seems very strange. Different than the basic no start issues; low battery voltage, defective or malfunctioning starter, etc.

I purchased a new MagSafe Charging Mount for my iPhone that clips onto the air vent on the dash. It has a USB C to USB C cable that plugs into the charging mount and the supplied USB C 20watt charger. For convenience, my goal was to put this on the air vent in the center dash and leave the USB C charger plugged in to the 12VDC outlet. The reason was so that every time I get in the car to drive somewhere I could simply snap the phone in place and start the car and go. My phone would be secured where I could easily see and operate it and it would be charging.

I did just that. Mounted it in the car and plugged everything in. The first trip somewhere, no issues. Hopped in the car and drove to where I was going. The phone stay in place and was charging the whole time. Next time, I come out to the car and nothing. I turn the key on and it won't start. Dome light is as bright as it always is. puddle lights are illuminated when the door is open, headlight turn on when switched on manually. I couldn't check voltage because I didn't have a multimeter with me. I try multiple times and nothing. I unplug the USB charger for the new phone mount. Still nothing. I leave the USB C charger unplugged, shut the key off again and pull the key out of the ignition. Then, I reinsert the key and turn it. The car starts right up, no delay. No slow cranking, or long crank. It just fires right up. I plug the adapter back and drive around the building where I was parked and shut the car back off. Same no start issue again. Again, I unplug the USB C charger from he 12VDC socket, turn the key off and remove it from the ignition switch. With he charger unplugged, I reinsert the key and turn it to start the car. Fires right up.

I leave the charger unplugged overnight and this morning the car start as normal, no issues.

How the hell could a USB C Charger cause the car to not start? Any ideas?
