a4 turbo upgrade?

ok i have a stock 1999 audi a4 1.8t. my buddy has turbos from an s4. i believe its from a 2.7t engine. would it at all be possible to put those turbos in my a4 as is?

the engine was recently swap and turbo was upgraded t3/t4 .57 trim. The main problem is the car runs too lean and wont pass 5mph and eventually stall. Ecu? would a adjustable fuel pressure regulator solve the problem?
