Default ko4 on a 210k engine

Hey I have an audi a4 (b5) with 210k on the odometer and I recently received a really good offer on a new ko4 with a fmic intake manifold and oil lines but im not so sure if its a good idea. My engine runs fine and I just put a performance suspension so I was looking for opinions on going ahead with the turbo upgrade anyones input is welcome will my engine be able to take a boost increase? Should I take the opportunity? Thanks

Do a compression test and a leak down test. If both pass, replace all your vacuum lines with silicone lines for durability, get an upgraded DV, make sure all your maintenance is up to date, and then go for it. You will need a reflash of the ECU to take full advantage of the K04 though, although it'll work fine on a stock ECU (just not near its potential).

Chances are he's not the original owner, so don't just do it without doing due diligence. Even knowing the full history of the car, gradual wear is practically transparent to someone who drives the car daily. It's stupid to throw mods at a car without being sure its up to the task of handling them.
