u guys are just missing it. It doesnt even matter there was an accident caused by him or any of that. It only matters that teh airbag was faulty. U need to forget all teh other stuff, speeding, drunk, underage, etc... it just doesnt matter and will most likely not even be allowed in the trial.

We are all aware of that APG... and we are aware that is WHY he will win the case.
Doesn't mean he isn't a douchebag... Ford obviously did a good enough job to keep this douche alive in the accident by means other than the airbag... it doesn't surprise me though, that the same type of character that drives drunk, will sue people... when he should just be happy he didn't kill himself or somebody else. I hope he loses the trial... but I doubt it. I am sure Ford's lawyers are intimidating, though... so there is hope.

ok, i see what ur saying. But if i was in his situation (of course i dont drink and drive) say i was sober and crashed and it was faulty, i would be crazy not to seek a settlement from Ford. They would ahve no problem handing me a 2 million, to keep it quiet, plus a Ford Gt.

hahahahaha, well i could buy those with my 2 million. Hey maybe even a dealership for myself.
Bottom line if an oppurtunity like this came across iw ould be stupid not to take it. Im sure many lawyers would take this on a contingency.

your friend obviously has no idea how an airbag is deployed... ford does. if he was drunk driving, and he got in an accident... I'm SURE this wasn't your typical front end collision. airbag sensors can't be placed on EVERY piece of the car that a ******* drunk driver is going to throw at any object in his way. not only that... but no judge is EVER going to award a drunk driver. your friend will be shot on site.

I think we see the point, but the fact is he walked away with no injuries. I would say Ford did more than its job of protecting morons from themselves. The fact that you, him, or anyone would still be looking to make a quick buck off the situation says a sh1tload about your character. If you were in that situation, drunk or sober, instead of looking for a lawyer, you should go out and find someone that can type so that you could send a thank you letter to Ford for making a car that you can be dumbass in and it will still save you life.

ur right, i think the mustang is a very safe car, but if it was an accident and the airbag was faulty, meaning teh impact and speed was in the correct spot he will have a case. I doubt ford would allow this to get to court. They will try and settle. A judge will waard moeny to a drunk, as long as he pays for his DUI. I mean some of the court cases that have been won, are insane. Like the robber that broke his angle while robbing someone and received a million dollars.
