I disagree, I have a photo page to convey the process and the results. A bacground image simply can not fully convey the totality of what i do. In trying to i can create misperceptions of what the results will be, or what i do.
The sole purpose of the card is to comunicate two things, The name, and the Phone #. trying to get it to do more is IMHO cluttering it up. I understand where you are all coming from. that being said. I still prefer simple. These are my first drafts. I like them alot. From here i will try some other design cues i have thought about... For the most part these work.
Keep in mind you are car people, everything you do is car related. you look for it everywhere. 98% of the people are not car people, I am not trying to market to that 2%. I am marketing to those people who like cars, but do not have the time to be car people. Professional people who look for professional cards, cards that convey what information they need not a back ground.
I think I understand, better, where you're coming from, but, inasmuch as I have an acute sense of humor:
^^^don't hate us 'cause we're beautiful[
]
^^^...and should therefore be removed from teh genepool
edyt: P.S. 2nd card works better, IMHO
