Well you're obviously not in California. You wouldn't be able to get a cop to respond like that if you called a hundred times!

That does remind me of a time in New Orleans in the French Quarter during Mardi Gras. The crowd was crammed shoulder to shoulder on the street and a lady comes screaming out of a bar to a couple of cops on horses that her boyfriend was getting beat up inside and she needed their help. The cops backed her up with the horses, then turned and rode away. She was just balling and screaming at them the whole time. I guess that you're on your own in New Orleans during Mardi Gras!
