got 1,000 miles on my 07 S6 and am surprised at the tuning of the suspension, at 60mph or higher if you make a quick lane change or evasive move it seems to "wag its tail" , it does have a softer ride than i expected but has a really uneasy lateral feel when "swerving," is this normal, i have checked the tire pressure and tried it with it increased, does anyone else with one of these cars feel what im feeling? are there any aftermarket suspension products for this car yet? any engine mods or chips avail yet, thanks guys

 

Have then check the alignment. What happens if you brake really HARD in a straight line? Does the tail feel light?


If so, you have some toe out in the rear, & need to have the car aligned.

 

I've had my S6 for several months now and have never experienced anything like that sensation. I'v found the handling, especially in the circumstance you're describing, to be incredible and precise and always the sense that I am in total control of the car. That said, I certainly don't find anything "soft" about the ride, and neither have the many reviews that have been published about the C6 S6. You may indeed have some alignment and/or suspension problem that your service dept. needs to address. Good luck!
