2001.5 S4 Boost dilemma/ ecu questions
Ok here is my situation. I have a 2001.5 S4 that currently is chipped (giac). The car only has 30,000 miles on it and I've had it for a little over 25 days. I have a 3 year warranty. The check engine light has never come on but for some reason my car has lost a lot of power (down to only 5psi). The turbo gauge I put in isn't spiking inconsistentlyand it doesn't look like itsboost is fluxuating when accelerating. Maybe the car isjust maybe in safe mode not sure. My buddy is on his way over to hook up the VAG software to see if the ecu has thrown any codes.
1.if the ecu has not thrown any codes then my car definetly isn't in safe mode (meaning its most likely a boost leak)?
2.If I were to reset the ecu, if it is in safe mode would it go back to normal for a bit running 15 or more psiuntil the problem occurs sending it back to safe mode again?
3.If i do reset the ecu will driving it to see if it was previouslyin safe mode do anything to hurt the car?
Also I am one of the people that bought the car with work done already that didn't know about it and neither did the dealer. How can I go back and be like I think there is a boost leak saying its only making 5psi when the car isn't really supposed to make that much more boost anyway?

Hooked it up the Vag software to the ECU and its not throwing any codes out so I'm guessing it might be the gauge - I just started another thread about it
