Default 2004 S4 buying questions.

My wife just got an 08 A4 Sline and now I'm looking to get an Audi for myself. I found an 04 S4 6spd with 89K miles for $16K at a local dealer. Anything I should be worried about with a 90K mile S4? How well do these motors run with higher miles? Would i still be able to do basic bolt-ons with it? Exhaust, chip, intake. Thanks guys!

Note to morgan82 and 08A4sline: the 4.2 liter V8 in the S4 has gear driven cams, so there are no belts to change.

Regarding hi mileage: I ran my 04 S4 to over 150,000 before trading in for a 2007 S4, and it was running strong. Oil consumption did get to about 1 qt per 4,000 miles.

That's good news. How hard is it to do a clutch install on an S4? I have done many on Mustangs but never an Audi.

that makes me feel a little better too.. my 04 s4 is at 90k right now.... the clutch is not too bad but just about everything else is a pain in the a$$.... engine is in soo tight... basically has to be taken out to do anything.. unless issue is at the front of engine and you can get to it by taking off the front clip....
