OK guys, first, I'm new to audi. I have read through the forums but thought I would start a more recent thread about this topic. This S4 I want has 80k miles. I'm buying it out of state. My question: if the timing chain has not been replaced, should I go ahead and count on having to save $5-10k because it's inevitable that it will fail? Are there B6 owners out there that have high mileage and haven't had it replaced? Is it good just to do it anyway? I don't think I would want to buy it if in one year of owning it if it needs $10k in repairs. Any responses would be greatly appreciated. Definitely thankful for forums like these. As a side note, according to the carfax, this S4 has had all recommended maintenance.
