2006 S4 w/Nav - iTunes to SD Memory Card?
I am considering buying the 2006 S4 with the Navigation system. Because it does not come with a cassette tape slot, it cannot take the wired adapter. Does anyone know if the library from iTunes can be loaded onto the SD Memory card (purchased and nonpurchased music)? Also, if so, how do the libraries/menus work on the Navigation Screen? Is it convenient?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Well if they are songs you downloaded from Itunes you have to burn them to a CD then rip them via some program like winamp or windows media player into mp3's.
I too am considering the I-Pod upgrade, and here is the direction I will most likely go. Check it out and see what you think. http://www.mp3yourcar.com/ Better sound quality, and direct stereo control.
You should get the 06 S4 with the "R" option. Comes with 420 tunes already specified to your liking.
... anyways, I would say keep the cassette option and hook an MP3 player through it. Will probably cost less and IMO you get better sound quality since you can fine tune it on the MP3 player and the car stereo. And no man needs a navigation system.

Logjam electronics has all you need to make it happen.

this link takes directly to the Ipod section, I have the Blitzdafe cause even after being integrated into your sound system, you still control it from the Ipod itself, not the stereo. The PAC one aslo allows for this.
As cool as it sounds to control it through your stereo, you can only do playlists....blows. BUT if you like that, they also offfer that with the P.I.E brand, fully integrates and you can use the steering wheel even to control Ipod.
THEN, theres this options as well

this section is the "AUXILARY INPUT CONVERTERS" which are the same as "Ipod" systems without the Ipod name attached, so tyhey are designed to play anythijng through CD changer or AUX inputs on factory stereos. A lot of times they are the exact same thing and cheaper because anything labeled 'Ipod" costs 50 bucks more.

You need to put the music on the SD cards in directories. Like you would on a computer.... Use the return button as it acts like the back button on a web browser. Then use the round **** to scroll up and down.... It very easy and much better than hooking up an IPOD.
