air fuel controllers?
is there a air/fuel controller that works with the 2.7 engine? I've heard the apexi-afc select isn't worth buying. is anyone runnig something other than a chip? like a stand alone or piggy back set-up?
I tried the apexi. With the motronic system its just not going to work. The maf Value is just one of the measuring sticks the car reads from. The car has a target A/F it shoots for. So even if you can change it on one pass the next one the car will correct. You can look at block 032 in Vag com. that will tell you how far out of requested fuel reading you are.
In the end you can't fool it. Just find a tuner that will adjust it to what you want. you are better off that way. I have the Vast tune set to a 15.0 A/F part throttle to help get even better gas mileage.

the aem F/ic is said to be used on the audi 2.0t engines. I called aem and they said it should work, but i know most places will say anything for a sale. I just hate having to take my car somewhere to re-tune after every modification.
I tryed the controller and it didn't work. They told me it was going to work as well. In the end I just got a VAST tune. When ever I want something changed I just pick up the phone. But to tell you the truth I had a X chip back in the day. Now with the current tune My A/F is the same with or with out the cat back and with or with out race gas
