RE: AWE STAGE 2 CLUTCH.HOW GOOD IS IT
you will be fine with AWE stage 2, very driveable but still will stick under some decent horsepower. Ide say if u ever wanted to go stage 3 before your next clutch. then bump up to a stage 3 awe/ or some other company. As for the price... 780 is a little steep. i just got my Clutchmasters stage 3/4 for like $696 shipped.
What did u end up choosing for flywheel? To go with questions. OEM is i think 20ish lbs. Resurfaced oem is 16ish, then all the aftermarket LWFW are anywhere from 11-14 lbs. However some may get a little chatter in 1st or reverse, however its no like its very noticable and annoying, its just there and if u are looking for it then you can hear it.

RE: ANYBODY HELP CLUTCH IS OUT ON MY S4
I recently took my s4 to the dealer and they quoted me $1600.00 CAD in and out to replace the clutch. However, I have a problem of my own that has even stump the Audi mechanics. I have a 2001 s4. Last week in the parking lot I couldn't get the cat into reverse, first or second without turning off the car putting it in gear and restarting it. I took it to the dealer and had the slave unit and master cylinder replaced and high pressure blead. Still had problems getting it in gear. The mechanics though they had a problem with their equipment. They dropped the tranny and found premature clutch failure due to rust and corrosion. The output shaft was so corrored that the clutch had a difficult time disengaging. The car only 50,000 miles on it. The warranty came up last November 2007. Is there anyone who has experienced this sort of problem?

you dont know till you try. I never pulled a motor but did it on my S. Just remeber where everything goes. ANd About resurfacing the fly wheel. A resurfaced fly wheel will maybe loose 10 grams so you wont being seeing any difference. But if you like a good solid launch stay with stock bc the LWFW wont hav as much rotational mass. Just some food for thought
