Anyone know how to time the 2.7 motor?
Ok my buddy owns a 2001 S4 and his motor blew last year while he was at school in Florida. A shop was supposed to build him a new one and put it in but they never got around to it so now we are doing it. I have put motors together and timed them before and we have a porche and chevy mechanic helping us (save the jokes). We have the complete short block already assembled. It's the 2.8 stroker.
Anyway my question is, we are putting all the stock 2.7 stuff back on... heads, cams, everything sept the turbos are the k04s. Does anyone know where we can find a manual or does anyone know how to time the 2.7 motor? The manual we have just says mark the timing belt before removal but its a little to late for that thanks to the shop that had the car before. Thanks guys.

Yes theyll probably have to order one. If your really nice they might let you borrow the shop one for an hour or two. I would check out http://zdmak.com. They carry lots of audi special tools.
