Boost reads 15psi am I chipped?

Boost reads 15psi am I chipped?

Bought my b5 s4 with magnaflow exhaust and it already had a boost gauge as well.
highest I have seen it go is 15psi. Am I chipped?

Probably. Another member just posted asking what stock boost was and most people said around 9, 10ish psi. But I thought chipped went a little higher, maybe not. I wouldn't know seeing as how I'm not chipped

You are probably chipped. GIAC runs more boost than APR or MTM. So you might have another tune aside from GIAC.

Thanks for the info. A pleasant surprise. I does seem to go. And I have driven the B6 and I like this older one more.

stock for stock the b5 is slower but once its chipped+exhaust BYE BYE!

My bet is you have APR chip as that is right where my APR chip boost to... Hold the cruise control button for 10 seconds and see if your check engine light start blinking. If it does then you got a APR chip.

FWIW I hold 7psi in stock mode and 16-17psi in chipped mode and i have APR.

10 psi is definitly high for stock...

theres a margin of error in all mechanical gauges though
