Car having trouble starting- high reving etc
hey guys,
The past few days I had some trouble getting my car to turn over. After a few times it would finally start. Yesterday I started my car no prob and the engine revved high ( ~2500 rpms) then dropped back down... i drove down the street and while in neutral it would rev high 2500-3000 rpms. I was pulling onto the main street and it stalled. I tried 30 times to start it up again, no luck so called AAA and the guy came, started it with a little trouble. He said it wasn't the battery or altinator, but prob the fuel pump. He also said that he jumps like 50 audi's a day. SO my question is if you guys think its a fuel pump prob? just got the malfunction light on the dash. So should I take it in?
Thanks in advance!
P.S. - just found out I have shiney Forge DV's!!

Could be a fuel pump on the way. Also sounds like a mass airflow sensor. Vag it and check it in meas. blocks. should be between 3-4 g/sec. My A6 did this because of a bad MAF.
just got car inspected. its the coolant sensor. code p0118. anyone know how much for a new one? also can this be a diy for a sort of newb?
thanks!
thanks!
