Chipped B6?
Meh, I don't know if you would notice a HUGE difference. A little, but nothing drastic, and unless your an all out horsepower fiend or trying to be as fast as Michael Shumacher, I would say it isn't worth it for 600 bucks. Go for an exhaust and downpipes, make it sound like a beast.
I just had the GIAC chip installed in my B6 S4 a few weeks ago. Although you may not gain a lot of HP, the chip greatly increases throttle response. I think it is worth it, and I was surprised by the difference I could feel. I can switch back and forth from the GIAC program to the stock program, and there is a difference. This was the last modification that I did, b/c many people told me that it was not worth the $$. That may be true if you are only worried about additional HP, but overall it is an improvement in performance. GIAC just came out with a new program for V8s with the downpipes and 93 octane. This is the program I had loaded onto my computer. If you have downpipes, make sure you get this program.
agreed taht youll prob feel a slight difference... other question is... is it 600 dollar good diffference. I would say do downpipes before a chip.. if you want more and have alrady done downpipes and intake..then go for the chip.
I agree....get the downpipes and exhaust before the chip. Everytime you start your engine and hear the exhaust you will have no doubt that it was money well spent. If you've got $$ left over, get the cold airintake and chip as well.
