Default A couple of questions...

Dear all, I am a new 2001 S4 owner as of Monday. I have already got it chipped thanks to the great advice on the forum.

Three minor questions:
1. The dealer gave me a set of new switch keys. How do you program it? I tried to follow the audi manual: press one button then stick it into the driver side door lock and lock/unlock the car. The buttons on the key still do not seem to be programed.
2. The Audi dealer said the car was serviced just before I bought it. However, when I check the service switch, it says only 2,000+ miles until next service required. Who should I believe.
3. I got the car chipped on Thursday. However, I still have not gotten the car inspected in NJ. Should I take the chip out and replace with the original? I presume the car should pass even with the GIAC X.

Thanks for any advice.

Could you post the answer you got here so others can see as well?

It will pass inspection with a chip, provided the rest of the car is in order (tuned properly).

ImolaS4, thank you for the welcome. This forum has been really great and influenced my decision to get an S4 in the first place.

Sometimes that's not a bad thing. It could give the site the added funds for upgrades to software, etc.

Hey, there is nothing wrong with the forum getting financial benefit if it deserves it!
