i hear a fluttering; something is leaking
I have a 2005 S4 8 cylinder. I have never owned an 8 cylinder before. I hear a fluttering sound when I am on the gas. Is that normal? I am throwing no codes. I have about 80,000 on the engine. I have had the car since Saturday.

Where does the sound appear to be coming from? Does is make the same sound if you rev the engine but are not in gear? Can you better qualify the sound? Fluttering sound is kind of non-specific. Volume? Frequency? Higher RPMs does it sound faster?
First impression is maybe an exhaust system issue.
