Intermittent boost...?
Hey there, so long story short I bought a 2000 S4 with a blown turbo back in Novemer, after swapping turbos having problems with that motor I ended up having to swap complete engines. My car is a 6speed and I pulled motors from an auto. On initial swap I got the clutch vent switch code, I pulled my old harness apart and ran the oem clutch switch wire and the code dissappeared, I then cleared the stored code, currently I have no CEL but I do have my service light flash on when the car initially starts, then turns off. I have boost leak checked the car and found a few leaks which have since been patched and I redid my spider lines due to serious cracks. I have a wetterhaur (spelling) chip installed from the pervious owner.
On what seems to be random occasion I can get full boost whereas other times I'm stuck at 5lbs like limp mode. I cannot find any patten, hot or cold outside, car coolant temp or oil temp has no effect it seems. I do not have access to vag com software as of the moment. As well I have hooked up a manual controller and had the same random responses. I really am at a loss, any advice, suggestions or information would be much appreciated. I can supply additional information and am competent to complete most if not all diagnostic tests.

have you checked to see if your diverter valves are blown or a vacuum leak? Never heard of the chip you have. what is your peak boost?

I have checked both my diverter valves and they both hold boost pressure up to atleast 15lbs for sure. They are both rs4 valves I believe (previous owner upgrade). As well I have a 5 layer silicon y pipe. My initial thoughts were leaks so I've done my absolute best to eliminate them all. As for my peak boost I'm not inclined to read German, which is what all the information is written in. I have seen 17psi but I'm unsure if that's spike or creep, whenever it does boost 15lbs seems to be average.
