With my personal calculations ... With me doing easy driving i average 23-24 mpg. and if i do my usual occasional lead foot i get about 21. and im a good 50/50 mix on highway and city driving.
And there has been plenty of people to achieve well over 400 miles on a tank of gas.
400 miles on a stock s4 is very obtainable if you ask me.

I got just over 20 mpg on my first tank, and I surely didn't take it easy on it. But there were a lot of highway miles.

LOL I'd be SO happy to get anywhere close to that kind of mpg. Granted I've got a heavy foot, but I average about 15mpg. Even going easy on the freeway the best I've done is around 20. With gas up to ~$4 I spend about 20 bucks a DAY.
check my title dude, there is nothingyou can tellwith B7 V8 S4. You such a oulier~~~~~LOL I am kidding. I know V8 usually takes more gas which is too bad, alternatively I gained more reliability. so it's balanced~~

I bought an 01 and drove it home from Va yesterday. About 70 or so mi was stop & go freeway and city. The rest of a tank was 70 mph freeway. 309 miles on 12.9 gal = 24 mpg. The car has a Tip trans. Not too bad, IMO. I'll see what city mileage is soon.
