Hi everyone - my first post here!
MY QUESTION NUMBER 1:
I am close to picking up an A8 4.2Q 1998 model and was wondering if/what the difference is for the S8 same year?? Is it turbo? more power? any other difference? I know that the 1998 A8 is a 5-speed Tip system....
I am wanting to do a few modifications as well so glad to be here with 4 rings on the grill!

1998 S8 - 4.2 V8 NA, 340.00 HP, 410.00 Ft-Lbs, Six Speed Manual in Europe, 5 Speed Manual in US.
1998 A8 - 4.2 V8 NA, 300 HP, 295 ft lb, Five Speed Manual.
Also I found this.
While a six speed manual transmission is available for European customers, the North American market, which only receives about 30 cars per year, will only get the five-speed Tiptronic automatic.
