Nitrous ???
I have been searching threw the forums and have found nothing on nitrous and the S4, i have a 02 with a 6 speed and am stock for now. my first mods i plan on getting include GIAC chip, DV,TBB , down pipes ,and exhuast. I know after im done with these mods im going to want more so my question to u is now freindly is the B5 S4 to nitrous. i plan on getting either a 75 or 100 shot with 2 stages.
when i get the nitrous i do not plan on spraying all the time or even that often just when i go to the races and am having trouble with someone on boost only. spraying not often or maybe a couple of times a month shouldnt shorten the life spand of the motor by half yes it will shorten it but not that much if used in moderation. ( I will only be using it on highway races and races from a roll ((3nd gear plus))since the car is a beast down low).
I ran a 150 shot on my old mustang alot... nothing bad happend except i ripped every spider gear of off my rear end because of the amount of power i had... FUN TIME AT THE RACES!
a turbo engine like yours, i would think a big shot is a no no... i mean nitrous makes the air VERY dense by freezing it. the air to fuel ratio in the cylinder would go crazy. And if you run a wet system, i feel that you would be really overdoing it. too much for a cylinder to handle ( unless you stay small).. not to mention thhe excess heat generated by the larger explosion will destroy those stupid pre-cats. Nitrous burnt out the cats on my stang!
