Default oil issue or not?

my 05 S4 Cab required a quart of oil right before the 5000 mile maintenance and another quart at 9100 miles. no sign of oil leak on garage floor. is this something i should expect or is there something specific i can ask the dealer to look at. both times the oil light came on i was about 2 hours in to a road trip. driving hard and fast. would this eat oil or is it gradually happening over the course of every 5000 miles.

that doesnt sound to bad, as long as theres no oil on the garage floor, id say your just burning it, i had my oil changed at 5000 and 9500 on my 04 sedan

I agree its not that bad but I think you need to check the oil level more often like every week

I had the same thing happen to me in my 2005 B6 S4. Got oil changed at 5000 miles and at 7000 miles the light went on and I had to add a quart of oil. I was driving in blizzard conditions so perhaps the cold somehow affected the oil levels? I also see no oil leaks so I am guessing that the B6s just burn some oil over time.
