Default Problems with Clutch Install

I'm having a transmission shop replace my clutch and they are having a problem. When they tightened the bolts for the flywheel three of them snapped off. They swore they only used a ratchet and hadn't even broken out the torque wrench yet. They said that they were "stretch bolts" and they should only be torqued once. They had to order new ones from the dealer. Does that sound right. And if so, why wouldn't an AWE kit come with new bolts?

They also said my stock flywheel had some burn marks, but I told them to sand them out. They said they weren't bad. My clutch was never anything but smooth. What do you think?

are you talking about the flywheel bolts or the bolts that hold on the pressure plate? why would they take off the flywheel to replace the clutch?

They must have been talking about the pressure plate. If they sanded the flywheel, I don't know if they would take it off or not. Probably not.

You need to take it off to get the flywheel resurfaced... I've been reading around... And most places say you should change the bolts everytime you take them off the flywheel....
