This question isn't really specific to the S4, but since that is what I have I will post it here.

I have a 2006 S4 that has 30K miles and about a year left on the warranty. I am interested in extending the warranty a few years as I plan to keep the car. I am interested in purchasing/enrolling my vehicle in the Audi certified pre-owned program (I bought my car used a few years ago). Has anyone done this? Is the dealer incented to do this and what kind of response might I expect when I approach them with the idea?

Yes, this is possible. I just purchased a 2007 S4 with CPO warranty from the dealer even though it is a new car (I am the first title owner, 200 miles). I think it costs the dealer around $2-3k to enroll the car in the program but they included it for free because that was one of the conditions for me to purchase a 2007 S4 model.
