Default Radio changes when car is off?

About once or twice a day, my radio will go up by one notch (from 88.1 to 88.3) when I start up the car.

As in I have it on 88.1 when I turn it off and when I start it up it is on 88.3 (fwiw I have XM and its on a modulator)

Only sometimes, and the biggest pattern I can find is that it happens when it's the hottest part of the day.

any one know why?

mine does that too. i think its just a power surge from the battery upon starting....wouldnt worry, its not hurting anything whatever it is.

Mine does it too. It seems to happen after I start it to come home from work after the car sits for about 8 hours. Doesn't seem to do it in the morning though after the car sits for 12 to 14 hrs. It did it today and the high was only about 55 degrees
