Reduction in Torque - Please advise (Help)
I have a 2005 S4 cab with 20,000 miles. Recently I have felt a signifigant reduction in low end torque while using as a daily driver. When I purchased the car it had 13,000 miles and perfomed signifigantly better. The orignial driver (a friend) did the proper break in and babied the car. Since getting the car I have driven it pretty hard, but nothing out of the ordinary.
Does anyone have any explanation for this? Should I take this to the dealership or is this something that can be expected with the S4...look forward to your thoughs.

do you know it's lost torque because you dyno it all the time, or does it just feel more sluggish? after so long, you tend to get used to getting on it and it loses that initial "wow" factor. i feel this way in mine at times, but at 5k+ in 4-6 is still bliss. if it just feels like it has less oomph, you might just be used to how it feels.
I too had this issue. I have a 06 s4 with 14,000 miles. It seems like it has lost its "wow factor" but also I drive the **** out of it one night.(red lining and all) It seems like its had some torque issues after that. I took it to the dealer and they could not find anything wrong with it. The service manager even drove it.
I notice little things that cause it to be aliitle more sluggish. I'd get into more details I just don't have time to get into the story in dept.
