removing starter from 00-02 S4
i'm having trouble removing the starter from my s4 with automatic transmission.
I have the one bolt out that is removed from the front of the car, but i'm having clearance issues removing the second bolt that is removed from the inside of the passenger side wheel well. I've tried using extensions and universal joints on a ratchet but it just doesn't seem to want to move. Can't get a ratchet wrench on it because it's too close to the transmission and there is not enough clearance to get it on the bolt. Any suggestions?

did you ever get it out? my son has a 01 a6 4.2 bad starter. The lower bolt was a breeze the top one worked a few hours on it can not get any leverage to crack it loose..Sucks stopped at audi the service writer said you have to drop the cross member. I have not tryed that yet. Freezing my but here in Chicago. Some **** poor engineering if you ask me!
i have a 6 speed, ive gotten to the bolts from underneath the car no prob, maybe its a hair different. **** poor engineering?? this is an audi. not a hyundai, or a daiwoo.. lol.. ya take the good with the bad..
