RE: RS6 Turbos
yeah that is what i thought, but i do think you need the inlets to the rs6 turbo can but up to them, i think stock will just not work with the bolt holes(but could be wrong).

I think the housing is modified to fit like stock, and requires a different flange or adapter for the downpipe.

JHM has a good image to explain it.

Quote: yeah i know you have to have fueling and a new maf. also a new ecu to go with that, but u can get 450 on 93 that is big numbers on pump gas. i am not as sure but 90% you need to have new rs4 manafolds, and inlets.
ya unless your deb38 haha hes expecting like 600 on pump gas

i think your right about the intake manifold. bigger one would be needed, along with a new fuel tune.
yeah i believe i saw some rs6 turbos for sale that had been drilled to fit on like a k03.
i'll look for it again.

just get the Autospeed Kit for like 6K..It comes with tuned software I think. You might want to upgrade rods and maybe some cams though if you get RS6 K04s...or just run boost up to like 18psi and u would probably be alright on a stock engine.

Wowza why dont you search for one of the other rs6 threads with a ton of information, this one really dosnt have crap in it.

Rs6 turbos will hit 500whp on pump eventually they just need a little development time.

ASP (autospeed) and JHM both modify RS6 turbos to fit our cars. ASP machines the turbo housing so it will fit on with K04 inlets, Stock exhaust manifold, and whatever aftermarket downpipe you choose. JHM also modifies the turbo housing to fit with stock exhaust manifolds and k04 inlets but you must have a new flange welded on your downpipes, logic being less obstructed flow using the rs6 flange on the hotside.

Thats all you need for them to FIT

If you are building an RS6 turbo car you better be willing to throw more than $10,000 at it. That means to get the car running decent you will also need the following: Downpipes - no piggies arent good enough. take advantage of the turbos and get somehting allong the lines of ASP 3", Intercoolers - FMIC, AWE's, Or ER's is all i would look at, Fueling/Tune - Larger injectors, high flow fuel pump, etc, im sure VAST/JHM and ASP will hook you up with a tune but your best bet would be custom tuned. Clutch/FW - Get a strong one.

NOW You should have the ability with these turbos to get damn near 500HP so personally i would get new connecting rods, maybe p'n'p and ceramic coat exhaust manifolds, DTS, short shifter, Engine, transmission, and differential mounts. Front suspension should be checked out and parts replaced if nessicary, t-belt and associated if it hasnt been done, new (bigger) MAF, RS4 cams would add to your top end.

Turbos, 034 inlets, hw $4000
ASP Downpipes $1500
ER intercoolers $1500
Clutch $600
Fueling + Custom tune $3000+
Rods, Cams, other power & relyability parts $?$?$?$
Maintainance, broken stuff + "while we were in there" ?$?$?$?

See how it adds up?

From Jays car we have seen the difference the RS4 y-pipe, manifold ETC can have, but you still have to decide if its worth the outragous ammount of money. IMO probably not, and DEFINITLY not imperative, its a "where can i waste money now" kind of thing
