over the past few weeks i have noticed a reduction in power with my s3. in lower gears it doesnt seem to have the torque or acceleration like it used to. when in higher gears traveling about 50-60mph and i accelerate the revs seem to drop slightly at 3500rpm then pick up again but there is no obvious boost in power when the turbo kicks in.

could it be a problem with the turbo? what are the tell tale signs that a turbo is on its last legs?

 

Check for oil around your turbo that could mean its blown. You might want to do a boost leak check it could be as simple as a boost leak.

Anyways I'm not to familiar with your car seeing as how it never came state side, but i'm sure some of the other forum members can give you some more advice. If there is one thing this forum knows its turbo problems and answers. POst a pic of your ride if you get a chance.
