screeching sound from wheels..!!
please help me ...every time i turn out of my driveway...or make sharp turns my wheels start to make screeching sounds...what is that sound...is it the wheel bearings...does that effect the perfomance of anything on the car???

Check your power steering fluid, or it may be power steering pump. Mine level was low, it wasn't screeching, but it was definatly making noise. Added some fluid and was good. If you do find your fluid level is low, you have to get a certain type of pwr steering fluid.

is your drive way smooth? it could be tyre noise on the ground, power steering ? easley checked apart from the fluid level ( start the engine and do a lock to lock on the steering wheel if it squeals then its the belt/fluid and the rest I wont mention before a week end

This might sound trivial, but I had a similar problem. Turned out, after taking off the wheel, there was a rock stuck in between the backing plate and the rotor. When my wheels were turned at certain angles, it made a nasty screeching noise.
I know it sounds too easy, but it's worth taking the wheel off and having a look.
