Default Test pipe/ down pipes

Where is the best place online to find these at a reasonable price? Im buying an 01.5 S4 6 speed and I'm pulling the motor right away to rebuild turbos, change timing belt, water pump, and replace valve cover gaskets. I figured I'd throw on so downpipes and testpipes while the motor is out....

Any help would be great!

Theres lots of choices

SS Autochrome on ebay sells full turbo backs for dirt cheap, thats certainly the least expensive way. ASP and AWE both have very nice exhaust but its much more expensive than SSAC, they come with Cat's and test pipes. 034 sells downpipes for cheap, you chould have an exhaust shop make you some test pipes pretty darn easily. Theres other companies like labree and fast intentions.

You going with k04's or k03's?

Honestly. Just gut your pre-cats. There is a DIY for that. If you want a more aggressive sound, take your downpipes to an exhaust shop and have them cut off your main cats and replace them with a "test pipe"

if you want something along the lines of asp or awe fast intentions is having a deal right now for $1100 instead of $1600 and with their split design they claim an added 45 hp!

If I were him, I'd take that 1100 and put it towards K04's. You can see the same gains with piggie pipes.

i dont want to sound like a dick or anything, but piggies will typically only get about 20-30 bhp increase, and youll also restrict your power output if you put k04's on/ go stage 3 with them because they dont open up as much as aftermarket. piggies in my opinion are more for sound than power. plus he said he wanted gt28s(in which case he would definatly need the bigger pipes)and yall are trying to get him to buy ko4s, haha.

Show me a dyno or a setup that has shown piggies to be a restriction. The fastest S4's in this country are running piggie pipes. 10secs4 made 470whp with the stock diameter downpipes.

With GT's, of course you are going to need larger downpipes. But K04 turbo's, piggies will be just fine.
