Default Thinking about an S4

Hey, im new here and dont currently own an s4...yet..I currently own a 98forebord formula. Alot of mods, runs mid 11s..but im kinda tired of it. Its not reliable, breaks something new every week. Contemplating selling it for something I can enjoy more and just drive and not worry about as much. Been looking around at 01-02 S4s.

Im totally aware of how pricey mods are for the S4. But how quick can one be with say...BOV, chip, and an exhaust? Not wanting to upgrade turbos, just some basic bolt ons so theres nothing to really worry about breaking it.

Also, any main sites for rims and tires? I cant find anything really asides from tirerack and ebay. Which really dont show anything...and dont even mention HRE lol

Hi diesel_Ls1, welcome to the forum.

With chip and exhaust you'll probably be in the 12s. Do not put a bov in an audi, they are meant to use Diverter valves.

wow, didnt think they could go that fast with such little mods...definatly interesting..can you further explain about the diverter and why not a bov? im curious. Thanks for the links too

another thing..has anyone ever tried a cutout on an s4? I work at www.quicktimeperformance.com and we specialize in electronic cutouts, is there room to put cutouts on the stock downpipes? We have had HUGE success rates with putting cutouts on downpipes utilizing the stock exhaust. Any feedback on this?

Im hoping by spring I can sell off my formla and find an 01-02 s4, im really digging them...except for the interior, cuz of the stupid wood grain dash. I really hate that wood lol

thanks again!

ummmm probably not, that post is from 2002. BOVs are not and will never be healthy for the engine.
