We got rid of our A6 2.7t and the A4 3.0 is getting ready to be sold.

I originally was going to look at a B7 Avante 2.0 but started to poke around B6 S4's.

When shopping anything specific to look for? I know all the normal Audi things to check for but anything specific to the 4.2 or the manual setup in the S4?

Prices are really coming down on the 04's and 05's. Even the 'verts are getting cheap.

I had thought of a B5 and I really like the turbo motors but I don't want a money pit that I can't work on. I can do all the suspension and that stuff but taking the motor out of the car is not something I have time for.

I see most run high 13's due to the AWD, what does it take to get one to run low 13's? Are there decent performance gains from bolt ons?
