I am loving my 2K S4 auto. I was out playing the other night and I noticed that the S4 seemed sluggish off the line but really powerful when reaching higher rpms.

APR is currently updating their chips and will not be ready until next week. I will be chipping, BPV, sensor, and F-Hose when the updated chips are ready.

Will this chip cure the off line sluggishness I am feeling or is this all in my head.

Are you chipped at the moment? There is a huge difference between chipped and unchipped.

With my GIAC, there is still a bit of turbo lag when at low RPMs but it is much improved. I also chipped the tiptronic so that may have as much to do with it.

 

You may need new DV's (which, I guess you'll be doing) or your MAF may be malfunctioning. If those are good, then the "sluggishness" may be in your head - it may be the turbo lag S4inNJ mentioned.

 

Probably in my head. When the rpms reach 3K, the car is explosive. I can't wait for the chip.
