Thoughts on two different B5's
I am looking to buy a S4 B5, I am looking for some third party opinions.
2001 S4 (not sure if its 2001.5 or 2001)
87,000 miles
has had timing belt and tensioner service done
AWE tune ITG intake
2001 is an automatic, just recently (2 months ago) had the transmission fluid replaced with OEM fluid.
2002 S4
125,000 miles
new Right tie rod assembly, new rear pads, rotors and new left rear caliper, 4 wheel alignment
Timing Belt job (serpentine belt, tensioner assembly, water pump, valve covers, t-stat, timing belt, tensioner idler, idler)
new battery
new right rear wheel bearing
new secondary water pump and gasket. filled and purged cooling system
Full inspection of brakes, rear diff, bushing, control arms, etc. new front left drive axle (just done 1 month ago)
new OEM HID lights
Completely Bone stock
on the 2002, clutch is supposedly still in great shape. 75% of the miles were on the highway for long distance (250 mile trips), Turbos are suppose to be in good shape.
I am pretty torn as to which is better. I like the 2002 due to its color (black/black) vs the 2001 silver. If you do recommend the 2002, would getting a tune (chipping it) accelerate at a higher rate than a tune would normally the turbo's demise, aka should I tune it, if I dont want to replace the turbos?
Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Go for the low miles! Get the 2001, miles are priceless as far as i'm concerned, I do own a black one, but that wasn't too high on my priority list. The clutch on the other as long as it wasn't beat should still be in great shape, I pulled mine off at about 100k and was still 65% good. All those other things on the '02 are nice to have done, but aren't hard or too expensive if you had to do them yourself.
the 2001 is an automatic (blasphemy, in my opinion) so there is no clutch. I am definitely not mechanically inclined. I do have a good mechanic that is inexpensive (at least for hte next 6 months)

I'd go with the 2002.
It seems to have the usual issues taken better care of.
The 2001 has an AWE tune so the k03s are probably close to being on the way out.
The 2002 seems to be running at stock boost and with all the maint. that's been done the owner, the turbos are still probably in better shape regardless of mileage.

One thing I forgot to mention was the price, the 2001 is 11k, 2002 is 12k. I read the FAQ and I'm not asking if its a good deal, I am asking if thats way to high/unreasonable.

and im gonna be honest with you.. if you warm the car up and cool down after running it hard with an APR tune or a GIAC tune then you probably wont have many problems..ive had my apr for over three months now and the only problems ive had is the stock clutch cant handle the torque at low ends... so ill be replacing that with a stage 2 or 3 clutch and lightweight flywheel soon..
and i did have this attitude.. if it goes it goes.. i have a hi performance car.. so i want to have fun with it and enjoy the ride.. so if the turbos are on the way out... ill worry about them then.. my car is not a necessity... i have three cars.. if one goes down i have another to drive.. so if its a daily driver it may weigh a little more on your decision making process... but again i was told from marc (10secs4) that with proper warm up and cool down, the k03s have no problems.. and i have found that to be true...
