ok i drive a 2001 a4 1.8tq tip, its boring im thinking of upgrading to the b5 s4, i want a 6speed under 70k color dosent matter what price am i looking for

how much is diy maintenance?
modds chip exhaust etc what brands?

sorry for the newbish post

yeah i can see you have been here for some time so there is a FAQ sticky at top that helps. and also jsut search some more or look at the DIY site ans see waht you can do. almost anything is diy just how much time and tools do you have.

Read the FAQ.

Price is going to change from all over the place, but you should be in the $13k-19k range. Maintaince is going to be 2-3X the 1.8t. I mean, 2x DV, 2 more spark plugs, 2 more O2's etc....

my a4 is the sport pakage im fond of its handeling so far the braking could be better but im not whining how is the s4's braking and handeling

Different, very different. It feels more planted but is also doesn't feel as light. The brakes feel much better. Best thing is go & drive one. The low end torque will make you giddy.

Have you thought about maybe putting money into your A4 before getting a whole new car? Im not saying that what you should do because I love my S, just a thought.

i did but the paint on it is bad a lot of chips it has a slavage title it needs a new abs control module my dad will throw on copart ( a huge car auction) and maybe get 5 or 6k from it
