Tiptronic ECU question.
according to http://s4wiki.com/wiki/Generations
The J box is interchangable with L-Box between 2001 and 2001.5, and the 2002 AA box is interchangable with L-Box , would that make it that the AA box is interchangable with a J box from 2001? I was thinking of trading in my 2001 for a 2002 tip with much less miles and wondering if i can use my J box that is chipped with Giac on the 2002. Thanks.

Nope, you can use a J one on a early A one. I don't know why, just know it will not work.
If you find the proper ECu to swap out, you still need to vag the car to code it to work, it's not a simple plug in.
