Default Turbo lifetime?

I bought a 01 S4/Tip with 61k on the clock and just chipped CPU/Transmission, swapped diverters, airfilter, oil. The car is incredible! I drive the car fairly conservatively most of the time... what kind of life time can I expect out of the turbos?

If you drive like a business man then the should last you the remianing life of your car. If you drive like a kid they sould last you till about 100k, in between maybe 120-150k

Thanks for the piece of mind. I've read that the auto tranny can't take the power from the K04's is that just in the first couple of gears? If I do have to upgrade the turbos I still would like to get into the K04s if possible.

my tuner said... the limit of the tranny is the ko3's... if i plan to goto k04's, i would need to invest some money into the tranny. (autos are not cheap to rebuild either). I guess ill just keep the ko3's and add dp's and exhaust.

That sounds like a good idea. you can always port and polish the manifolds. this makes the turbos spool about 200% faster.
