turbo noise
Engine warm, windows down you should hear a slight whistle. Louder whistle if you can drive next to a concrete barrier or something to let the sound resonate off of. I can't hear much of my turbos over the wind noise after 3rd gear. Maybe a little in fourth if driving slowly.
Engine warm windows up I can't hear the turbos at all.
Engine cold windows up I can hear a little whine, but not much
Current car is stock, I had a chipped B5 before and I can't really tell any difference in noise levels between chipped vs non-chipped. I could definitely hear the turbos more with the K&N intake though, especially when shifting.

unless you put a new full exhaust system, they probably won't be that loud. Not as loud as a turbo off a 18 wheeler[sm=wootwoot.gif]
