So out of the blue, my rear driver side window just started acting funny...

I was driving and when I went to close my rear driver side window I heard something inside my door panel like it was grinding up against the glass... I tried to close it and after a couple of clicks on the window controls I managed to close it...

Just to test it out, I opened it and tried to close it again, but this time I couldn't close it.

I tried to close it but all I can hear is something trying to push it up but nothing happens. Now that I've shut off my car, I noticed that when I start my car and try to close my window regulator will try ONCE to close it, fail, and when I try to close it again, I don't hear anything working inside the panel....

My question is, does this sound more like a broken window regulator or a broken window regulator guide?

I'd look at it myself, but I can't figure out how to take the door panel off. I've taken the two top screws and and the one under the door handle. Are there others?

 

sounds like a regulator...little plastic parts are most likely the broken culprit. im not sure how to take off the door panel either.

 

i yanked the window up and while pushing the close button... it's closed now, thank god... makes me think it's not the regulator, so that's more good news, hopefully it's just broken guides...
