Default Work Started

I dopped my car off this morning to start getting it's overhaul. You can see what I am getting done in this thread. They did a baseline dyno for me this morning before they started which I thought I would share. I will post updates as the work gets completed and any future dyno runs to show the results.

This should be good...I am looking at the Miltek setup and the H&R swaybars as well. Can't wait to see how your car turns out. When will they be done with it??

Thanks for posting that dyno sheet. It will be interesting to see the results of your mods on a B7.

I wonder how standard that 77hp difference between the crank and wheels is on an Audi or other cars for that matter. And how much one has to spend to get 300+hp to the wheels on a new S4.

i have H&R front and rear bars on my 2000 S4, and they are ridiculous at speed. At about 50 miles an hour the car will tackle just about anything

Just got the car back. They finished up the exhaust, intake, and swaybars. I have to bring it back in a few weeks to get the software done. The B7 ECUs aren't flashable yet, so they need to take it out and ship it to the manufacturer. I will be getting my second dyno run done after the software is done. So far I am loving the setup. I am still getting used to the new exhaust note but it is sweet as hell. I can really tell a difference in top end performance and throttle response. As for the swaybars, they are amazing. The car is extremely neutral now. All of the front end plow that I used to have seems gone. I still haven't rung it out fully but will in the next few days. My guy took a bunch of pitures of all the stuff and a video of the dyno run. As soon as I get them, I will post them.

Congrats on that setup dude, sounds amazing [8D]! Also post a sound clip of the exhaust if possible.... Gotta love the sound of that throaty V8!

Do the sway bars simply reduce body roll or do they stiffen the ride in others ways? Did the Milltek setup make it louder inside(or outside) the car or just a different note?

And congrats on your mods!

they reduce body roll and if u do only the rear it will change the understeer into slight oversteer. It may do a tiny bit to the ride but nothing to worry about. Its will only stiffen as much as maybe when u have alot of air in ur tires, after they had been low for awhile. Ull be used to it very soon.

Milltek exhaust?

The sways just reduced roll. The ride quality is exactly the same as far as I can tell. The full Milltek exhaust made everything louder, inside and out. It is a much deeper sound so you can feel it a bit too. I thought that it was too loud yesterday but only thought so because it was just so different and had the stereo off to listen to its sweet sound. In normal driving with stereo on etc. it is definitly noticable but not intrusive.

Thanks for the info. I think I'm just going to have to ride in one to be sure that the exhaust is a mod that I would want in a daily driver. I think I would always want the sway bars.
