2005 S4 Cabriolet - Correct Spark Plug Gap?
Hello,
I have searched this group and seem unable to find the right answer. I appreciate any assistance that people can provide. Need help from this group. Changing spark plugs on my 2005 Audi S4 Cabriolet. This has the 4.2L V8. Purchased the Denso Iridium TT IK20TT 4702 spark plugs. They are one choice that is appropriate for this vehicle, so I went with them. They come pre-gapped at .039. I can not validate if that pre-gap setting is correct. All of the Audi forums that I have searched have gap variations. I have seen it range from .028 to .044. Anyone know for sure what the correct gap setting should be for my vehicle? I know the torque setting is 22 ft/lbs. Thanks.
