Default B7 oil consumption

Hey guys audi newb here. I recently bought a 2007 s4 from a dealer here in ct.
The car was owned by an older guy who put 120k on it. The car is in immaculate condition and I've really only noticed one major issue. Now I know these cars are notorious for cunsuming oil. Now my problem is its using way to much. I had an oil change done 1400 mi ago and the other day I checked it and I was a quart low already. So since then I've driven another 500 mi and just now added another quart. Yeah kind of rediculous I know. It isn't leaking anywhere they I can see, but I do notice white smoke coming out of the exhaust tips quite regularly. Now has anybody's dealer told them the more you baby the car, the more oil you use?? Because that's what the sales guy "not service guy" told me. He said to drive it a little harder lol. Other than that the car runs awesome. No idle, timing, sloppy engine ect. I am using castrol edge 0w30 euro formula. Would a different weight/brand oil help? #newmotorsoon?

I would say that on my B7 S4 one quart low after an oil change is somewhat normal. 2 quarts seems excessive for sure. With the plastic cover beneath the car engine you may have to remove it to see if it is actually leaking any oil. It is easy to remove, only a few twist and lock screws hold it in and you can see if its oil leaking onto it.
As far as the white smoke goes, is your coolant level low? Could be a bad head gasket.
I'd start with removing the cover underneath the car first to see if there is any oil or extra dirt/debris collected on it from the oil and then go from there.

I need to check my oil every time I fill up, usually need to add a quart every other fill up... 2006 with 190K. Yeah, she drinks oil like a bitch. My valve covers were leaking a smidge, so changing them helped a tad.

As for the aggressive driving, that will result in more oil consumed. It's how the engine is designed. The aluminum block starts to score a bit on higher mileage S4s, so more oil slips by the rings, resulting in more oil burned. One thing to try to avoid is engine braking. The vacuum created sucks up more oil past the rings (and you'll notice more smoke when you start to accelerate). Spirited driving every once and awhile will help keep injectors and valve clean though... "a redline a day keeps the carbon away"
