I ran some prices for you on the parts for your S4:
LF outer door handle cover, comes in primer so you have to paint it. It's 66.96 dollars. It attaches to the door handle housing and it pivots on hinges. So if the handle has problems other than cosmetic check out the housing too. I can send you a diagram to show you what you are looking at if needed.
Front springs show many part numbers, depending on weight group rating determined by VIN number. Still all sport suspension part numbers but many choices. Average price is 135-156 dollars per spring. Need vin to determine exact part number and then eta. These also have color paint bands on the springs. See if you can tell what color or colors, and how many bands are on the springs you have. Then we can double check proper part number for fitment.
There is a repair kit 8D0-898-015-A for window regulator guides, it's a green plastic part for the channel, if that's what you need. Otherwise you may have to buy the regulator assembly. When you said clips I also looked at the belt molding/outer window seal, but rivets hold that to the top of the door.
L outer mirror is 88.98 for non auto dimming, an S4 might have auto dimming, if so it's 155.94 dollars. Both choices in stock. Auto dimming has a black border around the outer portion of the glass. Non dimming doesn't have that.
hazard turn signal switch in the dash is 37.05, in stock.
Any questions please ask us. Thank you, Jeff.

I actually found one door handle cover locally, and think I found another from a black A4 being parted out (in my case the door handle works fine just the thin metal cover that goes over the handle was missing)
Also I found out it was not just the clips that were broken on the drivers window, but the regulator cable was broken as well, so I ordered an aftermarket one with the new metal clips already in.
Springs, although I wanted to stay simple and just replace the one, I will probably end up going with a slightly lowering spring about 1" since I am sure if one spring broke the others may be ready to as well, and the stance will look nice.
Thank you for the prices though, it gives me some ideas on this budget build.
I also have a 2000 S4 - original owner, only 60k miles on the car. Basically a weekend car, but I have put an APR chip in it (quite a while ago... when I first bought the car). Been thinking of doing a little playing around with the car recently, and doing a few mods. I'm a relative noob when it comes to what I should do, so looking for some advice on how to bring the car along and in what order... The car has been garaged, and has had all major and required service (timing belt, pump, all necessary oil changes, etc. ).
things I've been thinking of -
- replacing the exhaust (only really looked at APR and looking at downpipes with cat back exhaust), but any suggestions on any other options? It's easy to get overwhelmed when reading through the threads
- should I upgrade the turbos? They are currently the stock ones, but they've served me well and have not had any problems. Would that require me to also upgrade the hoses, etc?
- short shifter?
- intercooler?
- What order would you do these in?
Just looking for some good thoughts; I've read through a number of threads, but given the age of the car - a lot seem pretty dated and I'm not sure what order to do things in...
Thanks in advance for your help!

60k miles and original owner? thats awesome! you, sir are a rare breed in the B5 S4 world.
since you already have a chip upgrade i would go for a good set of coil overs next. H&r, Bilstein, KW, etc.
start your own thread , so we dont clutter bmmerwolfe's. i can answer the rest of your questions on there.
