Default A4 B7 - Lowering Suspension - Springs or Coilover?

Hi guys,

I recently bought a A4, B7, 2.0T FWD. - It is the S-Line, Special Edition.

But it is so insanely high, which I assume is for the comfort of the ride. But I want to lower it for the appearance and ofc the more fun ride.

I know most people prefer coil over, but they are also like 5 times the price of just buying lowering springs. - I want it like 45-60mm lower then the current position, but I got my doubts, if it will affect the suspension and if it would be better to save up and go all in with coil over.

And can you guys recommend any good places/sites, which sells this stuff for a reasonable price? and is it really neccesary to pay 1600 USD for a decent set of coil over?

Hope you can help.

thanks!

^^^ only if you give a damn about raising or lowering your car at different times, or if you want to be scraping low without spending on air ride. If you don't care about that stuff - basically, you want a better ride height without slamming it, and are a "set it and forget it" type - get springs rather than coils. Bilstein/H&R is a very popular combo that will run a few hundred bucks less than coilovers. Great ride/handling result from them.

Default Nuspeed Race Springs w/ Blistein Sports Shocks _ Great Price

I have read all good reports on the combo listed below and it is a GREATPRICE. I just ordered a set myself today.

You will want adjustable Upper front control arms so you can correct the Toe and Camber caused by lowering the car.
