2002 A4 wont save keys
Hey guys,
I have a 2002 Audi A4 that after sitting a week and a half, lost it's programming to its key. When I bought the car it had already lost it's key programming and I was able to program it's valet key back in and have been using that. Now, I went in with my copy of Vagcom to clear out the old key and reprogram two in. It was able to clear the keys out of its system, but it wont save any keys back in the system, it jumps right back to zero after hitting save in the key adaptation page. Has anybody had a problem like this before?

I found it was the transponders. For some reason, the car really didn't like the transponders in the two keys I had been using and decided to not want to accept them. So I had a couple of similar era VW and audi junk fobs I robbed the transponders from, and one of them ended up working. So it wasn't vagcom, it was the computer deciding to not accept these transponders for whatever reason.
