Would like to apologize in advance since this seems like beating a dead horse. Read about 20 threads but none really answered my question.

Have an 05 B6 USP, ordered the blue cable vagcom connector but need to do MORE then just clear and read basic codes.

-Program keys to roll windows up/down by remote
-change car to "Rest of world" for fog light mod
-Seatbelt chime
-Other little tricks and tunes I keep reading about.

Which software provides these features? I'm a correct that this is the $350.00+ software, or will the free versions from ross-tech work?

 

The software is not the issue, it's the cable, if you bought a cheap e-bay cable for about 30 bucks it will not do that, the cable from Ross-tech is the only one that I know of that can read and reprogram these codes. I paid 199 for mine 4 years ago and that was with a 15% military discount and free shipping directly from the site. I did all the things except for the "rest of the world" programming.

 

u can do the windows and rest of world setting with a cheap knock off version. I did it in my car and had no problems. just make sure u have the right version of windows. :: a4mods.com :: - The Premiere Audi A4 Modification Guide and Pictures Library
Now if u want to do logging and all that great stuff u will need the real version like dan has.
